It's Ironic...
I write on Substack, to get people to step away from the screen...
I write about nature observation on BiophiliaFolio.substack.com. Biophilia Folio is to promote ideas, to share inspiration, to step away from your screens and step outside, to look closely and fall-in-love with nature, to rekindle child-like wonder.
I’m new to Substack, I write and post “art”, to encourage people to step away from their screens. Spend less time on Substack (and the internet), see the irony in that?
Stepping into nature, to be in the moment. Connect with the Earth. See the beauty in nature. Listening. Observe behavior. It’s mesmerizing.
I’m too am overly connected to my laptop and cell phone. But I am much happier when I prioritize spending (at least some) time outdoors, looking closely. At a bug. Listening to birds. Smelling flowers. Touching the fuzz on a leaf. Wondering why leaves on the same plant have different shapes. Curiosity about <fill in the blank>. To rekindle child-like wonder! I give myself permission to do this. Yes, you can step away. Will you give youself permission?

Funny about the deer mouse.
I cannot believe I was able to grab my cell phone from my back pocket and document the close-encounter. I had a zoom camera on my lap, bird watching. The zoom camera would not have been able to capture a pic of that little cutie.
All the Best, Terri
